About The Broadmoor, 235 West 102nd Street
One of the more impressive apartment buildings on Broadway between 96th Street and Columbia University is the Broadmoor, which occupies the east blockfront between 102nd and 103rd Streets.
Erected in 1928, this large, elegant building was converted to a cooperative in 1978. The 16-story, doorman building has 345 apartments.
There is excellent bus service on Broadway and a nearby subway station, but cross-town buses are a bit far away at 96th and 110th Streets. Riverside Park is only two blocks away to the west and Central Park, of course, is a bit further to the east.
This neighborhood epitomizes the Upper West Side with its interesting mix of building types, architectural styles and cultures. The renaissance of Broadway continues to move northward and this area is directly in its path.
