Carter Horsley's Review of 435 East 57th Street

Carter Horsley's Building Review
"This very handsome 16-story, mid-block, red-brick apartment building was erected in 1927. It is a cooperative and has 58 units.

This building has a 2-story, rusticated limestone base, multi-paned windows, sidewalk landscaping, a doorman, and very attractive escutcheons and putti on the façade. The building permits protruding air-conditioners and has a 1-step-up, canopied entrance, and has no garage and no health club. It is not close to a subway." Read Carter's Full Review
