Overview of 347 Bowery

347 Bowery is a five residence condominium designed by Annabelle Selldorf at the crossroads of NoHo and the East Village, across from the Bowery Hotel and also known as 1 East 3rd Street. Developed by Urban Muse and completed in 2017, it occupies a northeast corner site with a two story base and a setback residential tower, giving the building the form of five stacked townhouses rather than a conventional apartment block.

The residential collection comprises four duplexes and a triplex penthouse. Apartments use spiral staircases and suspended catwalks to connect their levels, while double height living spaces rise to approximately 20 feet. Private balconies and terraces are part of several layouts, with southwest exposures producing open views toward NoHo, Lower Manhattan, and the Downtown skyline. The triplex penthouse is the building's most vertically expansive residence, arranged across three floors.

The façade combines light gray elongated brick at the base with shimmering zinc panels above. A gated mews courtyard on East 3rd Street leads to an attended lobby, and the landscaped entry and third floor viewing garden were designed by Oehme, Van Sweden. Building amenities include resident storage, a garden, courtyard, rooftop terrace, terraces and balconies, and video security with smartphone enabled entry.

Its Bowery location places the building beside the Bowery Hotel and close to Cooper Square Park, SoHo, the Lower East Side, restaurants, galleries, boutiques, and downtown cultural destinations. The surrounding streets bring together the commercial activity of the Bowery with the lower scale blocks of NoHo and the East Village.
