Hearth House, 50 Avenue A

Condop located in East Village, between East 3rd Street & East 4th Street

Comment About the Building

The building needs some work, which it is currently dealing with (as of 10/06), most notably, repointing. Extremely lax rules. Might as well be a condo. Board is very laid back, though as more and more professional types move in, it`s becoming more professional. Prime East village.

More Comments About the Building

"Turn of the century building that was converted in 1980's. Ground floor commercial space that is condominium, residential apartments are the Co-op (technically a Condop). Maintenance on the high-side due to 2 mortgages. Very flexible board, post purchase liquidity around 6 months acceptable, parents can buy for children, gifting allowed, investors welcome! Can rent immediately. Just two blocks from Tompkins Square Park, short walk to Houston Street transportation. Steps to neighborhood restaurants."
