Spruce Ridge House, 245 East 25th Street: Review and Ratings

between Second Avenue & Third Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 245 East 25th Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, large, 20-story, white-brick apartment building in the heart of the east Midtown South area is convenient to the Midtown South office district and not far from the Gramercy Park, Flatiron and Murray Hill districts as well as the many major hospitals along First Avenue.

The 184-unit, doorman building was erected in 1963 and converted to a cooperative in 1984.

It has several setbacks, some angled, with terraces and its top three floors. It has a roofdeck, a doorman, a garage and some balconies.

Local subway stations are fairly close at 23rd Street, which also has frequent cross-town bus service.
