The Encore is a 48 story rental tower at 175 West 60th Street, completed in 2016 with 258 apartments. Developed by Glenwood Management and designed by Stephen B. Jacobs, it occupies the northeast corner of Amsterdam Avenue.
John Saladino designed the interiors, including a 17 foot high lobby with a bronze architectural relief, marble inlays, limestone walls, Tibetan rugs, and a white oak coffered ceiling. The LEED certified building is capped by a rooftop swimming pool beneath a gabled skylight.
Apartments have 9 foot ceilings and in-unit washers and dryers, while several recurring layouts pair open pass through kitchens with long living rooms. Corner windows are prominent in the building’s design, and some apartments have walk-in closets.
The building has a 24 hour doorman and concierge, a health club, rooftop terrace, children’s playroom, bicycle storage, and residents’ lounges on the third and 49th floors. Fordham University’s Lincoln Center campus is directly east, and Lincoln Center is one block north.
