Halo LIC is a 25 story, 284 unit rental completed in Long Island City in 2016. Designed by Durukan Design for The Rabsky Group, its red base, blue glass setback tower, illuminated rooftop beacons and numerous balconies give the broad façade a layered profile. Originally called the Argent, the project replaced plans for a pair of shorter towers after Rabsky acquired the site in 2013.
The lobby contrasts with the rectilinear exterior through circular patterns in the floors and ceilings, barrel shaped seating and vertical hanging lights. Apartments commonly have floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood floors, open kitchens and central heat and air conditioning. Private outdoor space recurs in the floor plans, with several balconies wrapping building corners; Unit 1406 is arranged along a 48 foot wide terrace.
A rooftop terrace, patio deck and Sky Lounge provide outdoor and indoor common space, with skyline views toward Manhattan. The building also has a gym, yoga room, sauna, game room and 24 seat theater.
Additional common areas include resident lounges, a library area, event room, business center and conference room, along with a climate controlled wine room. Full time doorman and concierge coverage are joined by laundry rooms, resident and cold storage, a bike room and on-site parking.
