Intell Management's Gary Barnett has another big real estate deal in the offing. After making headlines for his multi-million dollar purchase of the historic Stanhope Hotel, which he plans to convert into luxury coop apartments, Mr. Barnett recently purchased a 17-story Art Deco office building located at 305 East 46th Street, which he plans to transform into residential condominium lofts. Located a few blocks from Grand Central and the Museum of Modern Art, the building remains occupied by commercial tenants. By mid-year 2006, however, the gold and rusticated brick tower will boast a full-time attended lobby, top-of-the-line appointments, wonderful original details and staggering skyline and river views.
