The condominium offering Plan for 1 Rector Park in Battery Park City, has been declared effective by the Office of the Attorney General.

Residents will soon be able to close on their new homes and move in this spring. Since relaunching the sales effort in September 2010, 1 Rector Park already has over 30% of its 232 units under contract.

The 15-story building is one of the most attractive at Battery Park City and it was built as a rental in 1986 and designed by Charles Moore and Rothzeid, Kaiserman, Thomson & Bee. It was originally known as River Rose and as 333 Rector Place and was developed by Rockrose, which subsequently sold it. It is on the northwest corner at South End Avenue.

1 Rector Park is situated just across from the entrance to Rector Park, offering stunning views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty. A sophisticated garden in the finest European tradition, Rector Park is beautifully detailed with shaded benches, small lawns, and formal gardens.

The building has a 50-car garage, a residents' lounge, a children's playroom, a fitness center, a business center, a 24-hour attended deck and Abigail Michaels concierge services and about 20,000 square feet of retail space.

According to Tricia Hayes Cole of Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group, exclusive marketing and sales agent for the building, "we are thrilled that we have achieved this goal earlier than anticipated." She said that the building has a lobby redesigned by Rick Livingston of PERIOD LLC with Baccarat crystal chandeliers, mahogany walls, a saltwater fish tank and photographs by Jeffrey Rothstein.
