On West 123rd Street in the Mount Morris Park Historic District of Harlem, local residents are familiar with the 90-year-old Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church and a nearby community garden - and some might remember in 2012 when the block experienced a structural loss: the building at 110 West 123rd Street collapsed while undergoing renovations and the lot has stood vacant ever since.
The lot was sold for $1.575 million to an entity known as Venture 123 LLC last May, and details and permits have been revealed for a new, six-story building planned for the site. Plans indicate six spacious apartments with two bedrooms, two baths, large windows, and private balconies, highly indicative of condos. The building will be topped with a roof deck, and there will also be a cellar-level bike room. Shahrish Engineering is the designer of record.
