Nearly a year and a half after anonymous LLC purchased the East Williamsburg site for $2,052,500, 566 Grand Street is back on the market and conceptual plans show a six-story, 5-unit condominium to rise from the vacant lot. Its previous occupant, a two-story building, has already been demolished and plans have already been approved according to the property brokers at TerraCRG.
Plans filed with the city say that there will be one duplex apartment and four full-floor units. The sketches show a tall, skinny building rising higher than its neighbors, with each floor having its own balcony. The site is one block from a Key Food, surrounded by eating/nightlife venues, and is a short walk from the Lorimer-Metropolitan station serving the G and L lines.
