After topping out earlier this year at a modest 100 feet tall, AB Architekten’s 1247 Atlantic Avenue will soon debut 40 new residential units to southern Bedford-Stuyvesant. The 10-story mixed-use building encompasses 35,000 square feet and will include retail on its ground floor.
Renderings reveal a light grey exterior with glass-enclosed balconies and a setback on the building’s 9th floor. The sleek and minimal design continues indoors with clean and light-colored hallways. According to the DOB permit, five apartments will occupy each floor, with the crowning two floors hosting two units each and 550 square feet of indoor recreation.

In development by Bridgewater Capital Partners, the building first began construction in 2016. Amenities will include a swimming pool, storage space, bicycle storage, and a rooftop deck.
Just steps from the Nostrand Avenue train station, the 1247 Atlantic Avenue will provide easy access to the LIRR’s service to both Atlantic Terminal and points east on Long Island. Also in close proximity are the A and C trains offering express and local service into Manhattan, as well as nearby neighborhood amenities including local shops, marketplaces, and Prospect Park.
