An entity known as Bushwick 1010 LLC purchased 1010 Bushwick Avenue for $2 million in June 2016 (per Acris), and things have been quite busy since then. The quaint two-story house, built in 1920 according to city records, previously on-site has been demolished, and a rendering of the sleek, seven-story building to rise in its place has been posted. The rendering shows oversized windows throughout and private balconies in many of the 13 units to be contained therein.

According to plans filed with the city, Versatile Engineering is serving as the applicants of record. Amenities will include a bike room, garage, storage, and roof deck. The site is on a quiet street, but a short walk away from the Gates Avenue subway station, not to mention the shopping and dining on Broadway. The apartments come to an average of 1,225 square feet, hinting that condos may be in the works.
