Last fall, plans were filed for a new seven-story mixed-use building at 1595 Broadway in Bushwick. Since then, the one-story building previously at the site has been demolished and now - we have our very first look at a rendering of what's to come.
We first noticed the new rendering posted to Samuel Wieder Architects’ Instagram account. Plans for the structure include ground floor retail space, a daycare facility for the 2nd floor, and 32 rental apartments on floors 3 through 7. There will be a roof deck and private balconies on all or most units.

In addition to the outdoor space, building amenities will include parking, a bike room and a laundry room. Families or those with small children will appreciate the close proximity to schools, playgrounds, and a branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. The neighborhood is easily accessible by transit and there are several supermarkets in the immediate area.
Interior details and prices are not yet available but according to listing information on CityRealty, the Bushwick median rent is currently $2,350/month according to CityRealty’s data. Check out other listings here.
