After years of planning, sales have just launched at Billionaires' Row condominium 660 Lexington Avenue. However, Rybak Development is also busy gearing up for another sales launch, this one on the Upper East Side at 500 East 81st Street.
The project on the southeast corner of York Avenue and East 81st Street is to contain 10 floor-through four-bedroom units, all reached via direct elevator access and opening to private outdoor terraces. An offering plan with a $69.4 million sellout is being reviewed by the Attorney General's office, and a recent site visit saw construction topped out at 11 stories high.

In addition to 500 East 81st Street and 660 Lexington Avenue, Rybak Development's portfolio includes 126 East 86th Street and Manor 82; both of these Upper East Side condominiums are now sold out. Renderings of 500 East 81st Street's design by Zproekt Architecture depict a tasteful building with a pale stone facade, oversized windows, and private terraces on every level.
The site is located in close proximity to John Jay Park, Carl Schurz Park, Yorkville dining, and acclaimed private schools like The Chapin School and Brearley School. The 86th Street Q train is located a short distance from the building.
The forthcoming full-floor, four-bedroom apartments at 500 East 81st Street are at the higher end for condos of similar size in Yorkville. However, the area has been home to luxurious new development in recent years. A few blocks north, closings have begun at The Strathmore, The Related Companies' recent rental-to-sales conversion. Further south, closings are expected to begin at 255 East 77th Street later this year.
