Four Fifty Grand (Douglas Elliman) Four Fifty Grand (Douglas Elliman)
Before he shot to fame as Notorious B.I.G., Christopher Wallace grew up in Clinton Hill and filled his music with references to his Brooklyn background. Decades after his death, his childhood home has become a must-see for hip-hop fans all over the world, who visit it in a much-improved/gentrified neighborhood. Two blocks away, sales have launched at Four Fifty Grand, a new condominium that has transformed the corner of Grand and Putnam Avenues with its eye-catching design and array of amenities.

The first availabilities start at $720K for one-bedrooms and $1.315 million for two-bedrooms. The glass-encased top floors will house penthouse units, but these have not yet come on the market.
Citi Builders NY is at the helm of Four Fifty Grand, and the seven-story building by Issac & Stern replaces a two-story building formerly on the site. The brick facade nods to Clinton Hill brownstones, but glass floors on top add a modern touch. Completion is estimated for this summer, at which time it will house nearly 6,100 square feet of commercial space and 39 new housing units.

Four Fifty Grand faces Putnam Triangle Plaza, and is situated a short distance from the dining and retail of Fulton Street, Washington Avenue, and Vanderbilt Avenue. The Clinton-Washington Avenues C train is a few blocks away, and the Barclays Center transportation hub is further north.
