At the rate the new building at 3 West 128th Street, between Fifth and Lenox Avenues in Harlem, is going, it will be ready to welcome residents any day now. The boutique building reached its full height earlier this spring, and the jazzy facade designed by J Goldman Design is almost fully up.
Permits were filed in 2016 for a new six-story structure which will have 20 residential units inside. The owner is listed as Joel Berkowitz, and the applicant of record is Boaz Golani of BMG Design Build. Homes will average 658 square feet each (suggesting rentals) and resident amenities include a 430+ SF roof deck, laundry room, and bike parking.

Renderings on the J Goldman Design website show interiors throughout will have a stone-colored palette. Unit renderings show a kitchen designed with stainless steel appliances and contemporary cabinetry, and a bathroom with a vessel sink and a glass-wall shower. There will be four units on the first floor and three units each on floors 2 through 6 - and at least one unit will be a duplex.
