The Brooklyn condo market is surging, and in the last quarter, the borough recorded its highest volume of transactions in a decade. According to Douglas Elliman’s quarterly market report, the borough had 2,845 home sales at a median price of $795,000 — 20% higher than the same period last year. The quarter was the fourth in a row to set a new sales record.
As prices continue to soar, it’s becoming harder to find rock-bottom deals. However, one newly-finished building in Kensington has just launched sales on a collection of three-bedroom condos affordable priced from $899K. Located on a tree-lined block at 222 Parkville Avenue, the 8-story building is composed of 13 apartments with eat-in kitchens, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors. All units come with washer/dryer hookups and most have private balconies.
The building has an elevator common roof deck, virtual doorman, on-site parking and storage lockers. Buyers will benefit from a 15-year tax abatement providing low carrying costs. The building is convenient to the F train’s 18th Avenue station.
