Views of the New York City skyline are among the main selling points for many buildings in Jersey City. However, its own skyline is in for a new look: Hoboken-based Marchetto Higgins Stieve has released renderings of a 41-story mixed-use tower at 331 Marin Boulevard. The building will offer over 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, a 116-car parking garage, a 125-seat, 6,470-square-foot theater with a café, and 448 rental apartments on top. The property currently houses three townhouses, which would have to be demolished.
According to Jersey Digs, the proposed tower falls within the boundaries of the Morgan Grove Marin Redevelopment Zone, which seeks to promote smart growth and encourage the use of mass transit. That’s especially easy to do with its location two blocks from the Grove Street PATH station and within walking distance of popular neighborhood restaurants and nightlife.
