For all the excitement generated by its two-building project rising in Yorkville, Icon Realty Management has spent the past few years keeping the details of it close to the chest. However, newly posted signage reveals that the development is called Beckford House & Tower, and a look at the site shows it well on track to meeting its projected completion at the end of 2019.

Both buildings will boast distinct yet complementary facades, interiors by Studio Sofield and custom kitchen cabinetry by Christopher Peacock, and amazing amenities. The project was designed to take advantage of the new Second Avenue subway stop at 86th Street, and residents will also enjoy easy access to the 77th Street 6 stop as well.

The 19-story Beckford House topped out at the beginning of the year, and its elegant limestone and brick façade is well on the way up. Its 32 two- to five-bedroom apartments will be divided between three units per floor on the second through fifth floors, two units per floor on the sixth through twelfth floors, one unit per floor on the thirteenth through seventeenth floors, and a duplex penthouse at the top. Amenities will include a roof deck, lounge, fitness center, laundry room, bike room, mail/package room, and storage.

One block south, Beckford Tower is rapidly rising toward its 29-story height. Upon completion, it will have a beautiful stone and brick façade and 72 one- to six-bedroom units within. There will be five units per floor on the second through sixth floors, then no more than three units per floor the rest of the way up for optimal privacy. This amenity-rich building’s offerings will include an indoor pool, sports court, fitness center and yoga studio, party room, game room, children’s playroom, laundry room, bike room, storage, mail/package room, and concierge service.
According to offering plans filed with the city, a $185 million sellout is projected for Beckford House and a $528 million sellout is projected for Beckford Tower. To that end, a teaser site indicated that prices will start at $2 million for one-bedrooms and rise to over $20 million for penthouses. According to CityRealty data, this is well above the Yorkville average condo price of $2 million.
