Midtown East's EVEN Hotel New York at 219 East 44th Street debuted last year with 230 hotel rooms paired with a package of wellness and health-inspired amenities. Above the guestroom floors, at the building's crown, is a seven-floor penthouse marketed by TOWN Residential as a "customizable blank canvas" that can essentially create a one-of-a-kind "Mansion in the Sky."
Accessed via a discreet and private residential lobby, the 16,553-square-foot spread is priced at a cool $53 million ($3,202 per ft²) and has plans drawn up by Pembrooke & Ives, the interior designers in charge of 212 Fifth Avenue. The spaces will offer “endless floor-to-ceiling windows,” more than 2,200 square feet of private terraces, and a sun-drenched rooftop with glorious views of the East River, Chrysler Building, and the United Nations.
In case you might not need such a gargantuan home that can be fitted for 19 bedrooms and 21 bathrooms, floorplans show the volume can be broken up into six full-floor apartments that include a duplex penthouse with its own private terrace.
