Earlier this spring, the London-based Institute for Quality of Life released its 2025 Happy City Index of the happiest cities in the world, as determined by categories like citizens, governance, environment, economy, health, and mobility. New York City achieved the highest score in the United States and ranked among the top 20 in the world.
Factors like New York's diverse international population, excellent cuisine, dynamic cultural scene, and access to green areas were instrumental in its designation. This weekend, things that make us happy about New York City are forecasted temperatures in the sweet spot of the high 70s and events that offer something for everyone. From action-packed film premieres and high-speed sailing races to open-air yoga and a turtle race, the city is alive with ways to connect, celebrate, and explore.
