Sales in Yorkville have been white-hot since the opening of the first phase of the Second Avenue subway (aka the only pleasing section of our subway system). Closing prices in the neighborhood have skyrocketed 20.6% since June 2016 and the neighborhood’s leading condo building, 389 E. 89, has sold 28 residences within the first six months of 2017. Now 389’s sales team has unveiled the new “Loft Collection,” a mixture of 32 loft-style residences that they say will bring a bit of Downtown, Uptown.
"We have found a way to differentiate our building in today’s market – offering quality craftsmanship and attainable pricing – all in a location that keeps getting better" - Ben Shaoul

The residences of the Loft Collection are positioned on floors 3-6, and offer buyers tree-filled vistas and generous layouts ranging from 562 to 1,079 square feet in size. Customized by interior designer Taylor Spellman, star of Bravo’s “Yours, Mine or Ours,” the lofts feature oversized windows, 10.5’ high ceilings, and refined finishes. “The combination of high ceilings with amazing windows creates an inspirational and natural palette for an effortless aesthetic,” said Taylor. “The clean lines of the finishes and well thought out materials immediately lends itself to great design.”

The new inventory was released to keep up with the strong demand says the sales office. 389 is now 65% sold and made headlines last year for signing the largest number of contracts in 2016.

The 33-floor building has been reimagined by Ben Shaoul’s Magnum Real Estate Group. The developer commissioned designer Paris Forino to refine the spaces to capture classic uptown living with a modern touch. The tower residences are composed of studio to three-bedroom layouts and the amenity package includes a fitness center, children’s playroom lounge, roof deck and a furnished garden terrace.
Pricing for the Loft Collection starts at $825,000, and remaining tower residences start at $1,350,000 for one bedrooms. “We have found a way to differentiate our building in today’s market – offering quality craftsmanship and attainable pricing – all in a location that keeps getting better,” said Shaoul.
