On a brownstone-lined block in Harlem, condominium units in a renovated townhouse are now selling. According to city records, the 23-foot-wide townhouse at 131 West 122nd Street was built in 1910, and permits were filed in 2014 for nine condominium units throughout the building, with a 5th floor added to the structure.

Sales launched earlier this year through Elliman, and four units are currently in contract. A pair of two-bedroom units that are still on the market recently had price decreases, and are now each listed for $859,000. Apartment 2B was originally listed for $889,000 at the end of August, and took the 3.4% drop last month. Its two bedrooms and bathrooms are spread throughout 765 square feet, and includes a 25'5" x 5'9" master bedroom with a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom, and also a large private balcony. Apartment 3B has a similar layout to 2B and was first listed in August at $939,000, but dropped 8.5% over the months to $859,000.

The residences feature large windows with abundant light and high-end finishes like custom Italian kitchens with Bertazonni stoves and hoods, Bosch stainless appliances, and marble baths.

The monthly common charges for the two units are about $450, and monthly real estate taxes around $345. The building's penthouse duplexes occupy the 4th and 5th floors, and are currently in contract. Penthouse 4A was on the market for $1.079 million ($1,148/sq. ft.), and Penthouse 4B was on the market for $1.169 million ($1,125/sq. ft.).
The townhouse is located between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard in Harlem. With the addition and renovation, the building now has more than 8,000 square feet, and DJLU Architects served as the architect of record.

Though now home to luxury condominiums, the townhouse has a storied past, and was featured in a Daily News article in 2012 detailing the history of the beautiful building.
