As September 2021 draws to a close, CityRealty listings show 9,514 publicly listed condos, co-ops, condops, and townhouses for sale throughout core areas of New York. The Manhattan median condo price comes to $2,256,605 ($1,809 per square foot), down slightly from the beginning of the month. The median Manhattan co-op price is holding relatively steady at $896,570 per square foot.

From September 20-27, 2021, a total of 226 sales listings experienced price reductions. A significant number were units in older buildings requiring some degree of work, which means that some buyers might be using the money saved on the purchase to hire an architect/interior designer. However, between stellar locations and fine bones, these apartments could very well be gold mines come mid- to late 2020s. A full, sortable chart of the past week's discounts may be found below.
