This week's best bargains in NYC start at $459K and include listings in top neighborhoods

For all the talk about New York's softening markets and prices coming back down to Earth, sometimes it doesn't seem like it when perusing real estate. According to CityRealty listings, the median condo price is $1.887 million. The median co-op price is at six figures, but only just: $899K.

However, by searching thoroughly and looking carefully at the listings, it is possible to find an apartment one would be happy to live in at a price that isn't completely unmanageable. The following apartments are located in some of New York's most coveted neighborhoods, but priced below $1 million and below $1,000 per square foot.
