Fresh off the leasing launch of Hayden, Rockrose Development has topped off yet another rental tower in Long Island City. Taking shape at the old Eagle Electric factory site at 43-22 Queens Street, the project will be the developer’s fourth in the neighborhood. Recently, a flag was pitched at the southwest corner of the 598-foot high structure to mark the pinnacling occaision.
The half-block redevelopment, just off Jackson Avenue, will yield nearly 800 rental apartments that will be spread within the shell of an old manufacturing building and throughout a shimmering 54-story, 598-foot high skyscraper. The construction crew just topped out the tower, making it the third tallest building in Queens behind One Court Square and Heatherwood's nearly-finished Tower 28.

SLCE, who also designed the nearby Hayden are serving as the architects of this tower. The low-rise loft building will have a green roof and new energy-efficient windows while the tower rises as a simple shaft covered in glass.
Residential amenities are expected to include a swimming pool, a rooftop deck and lounge, as well as basement storage, an event room, a children’s playroom, a fitness center, a courtyard, a laundry room, valet services, and plenty of bike storage.
