In 2016 a consortium of developers under the LLC W29 534 Highline Owners broke ground on a long-awaited condo project at 534 West 29th Street (previously referred to as Casa Moderne and Casa Bella Artes) 534 West 29th Street. Now in its final phase of construction, the project recently uncovered its articulated glass and metal facade which will nicely complement the neighboring condo, Soori High Line.
Plans for the modest West Chelsea development were first filed in 2013 and delivery was originally anticipated in 2016. The site is a half-block from the High Line and will offer views of the elevated park to the east and the Hudson River to the west. The nine-floor building covers a total area of 17,000 square feet and will have six full-floor and duplex apartments. New York-based workshop/apd are the architects and the facade features horizontal planes of silvered glass said to create a greater sense of depth.

Apartments will range from 1,500 to 3,000 square feet in size and have 12- to 16-foot ceilings. Most apartments will also come with a private outdoor terrace and the penthouse unit will have a private roof deck and pool. Back in 2016, prices were estimated to start from $3.75 million. A $31.37 million total sellout is shown in a recently-approved offering plan filed with the Attorney General's office. The project is named The No. 29 Condominium according to filings.
534 West 29th Street is two doors down from Tamarkin's 550 West 29th Street and adjacent to Soori High Line. Current availabilities at Soori start at $5.75 million for a two-bedroom. Tamarkin's 550 West 29th currently has seven availabilities, including a penthouse, priced from $3,250,000.
