Two low-slung buildings at 310 Graham Avenue in East Williamsburg are in the process of being replaced by a 7-story, 24-unit residential building. Real estate blog New York Yimby first reported the permit filings that note that local Cheskie Weiss is the developer, and architect Diego B Aguilera is leading the design. The Permit applications were filed in 2015 and demolition permits several months later. This past June, a permit was filed to erect scaffolding around the two-building site at the corner of Ainslie Street and Graham Avenue.
The future residential building will have 16,350 square feet of space to be divided among the 24 apartments. Judging by the rendering posted by the building's design architect's, Samuel Wieder & Associates (SWA), many units will be provided balconies or outdoor terraces. The ground floor will have 180 square feet of commercial retail space. Amenities will include a 13-car garage, a recreational room, and bike parking. The residential building will be only 2 blocks from the L train’s Graham Avenue station and within close proximity to several bus routes.
