On Sunday, July 19, after weeks of suspenseful matches, the World Cup finals will see Argentina and Spain face off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Sunshine is predicted for Sunday after Saturday's rainy forecast, and there is a possibility that Canadian wildfire smoke will have somewhat cleared up by then. Post Malone will headline a closing ceremony at 1:30 p.m., an hour and a half before kickoff at 3:00 p.m., and Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline a halftime show.
With ticket prices on SeatGeek starting at $7,448 and going as high as $44,231, attending the finals in person is out of reach for most people. However, that might not matter in New York City, which was home to a number of watch parties in immigrant enclaves throughout the city in the early days of the tournament, and where watch parties are taking place in parks, public plazas, museums, and bars on Sunday afternoon.

“Partnering with a place like Zum Schneider felt like a natural way to establish Franklin Point as a real cultural destination and neighborhood anchor. The incredible turnout speaks for itself—it’s a great reminder of what’s possible here, especially with 12 Franklin Street’s size and its unique waterfront location between two of Brooklyn’s most vibrant neighborhoods."—Raymond Roubeni, Principal of Astral Weeks
One notable party will take place at The WORLD by Zum Schneider at Franklin Point, a multi-level biergarten at 12 Franklin Point in Greenpoint. Conceived in partnership with developer Astral Weeks and local biergarten Zum Schneider, The WORLD takes place at Franklin Point, a former industrial property turned commercial and event destination. It will run through the entire World Cup, offering a massive HD screen, multiple large-screen TVs, and traditional beer hall seating at the indoor Arena and a Rooftop with two large screens, ample seating, and spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline and East River.
A spokesperson for Astral Weeks said in a statement, "Partnering with a place like Zum Schneider felt like a natural way to establish Franklin Point as a real cultural destination and neighborhood anchor. The incredible turnout speaks for itself—it’s a great reminder of what’s possible here, especially with 12 Franklin Street’s size and its unique waterfront location between two of Brooklyn’s most vibrant neighborhoods." It is also located a short distance from Monitor Point, a recently approved new development set to bring 1,324 housing units (662 of which will be affordable), new retail, and new public open space to the Greenpoint waterfront.
Finally, some lucky Brooklynites don't need to leave their buildings to experience the collective effervescence of the World Cup finals. Many residential buildings' amenity packages include lounges with big-screen televisions, and especially forward-thinking developers have positioned these on high floors to make the most of views of the Manhattan skyline and the East River.
A case in point is the forthcoming One Montague Place, a new residential tower in Brooklyn Heights which will be one of the tallest buildings in Brooklyn upon completion. Developed by Landau Properties and designed by Hill West Architects, the nearly 800-foot tower will feature 90 rental residences, 46 condos measuring at least 3,000 square feet, and a world-class amenity package to include multiple lounges, including an entertainment lounge with terrace access.

“With world-class amenities and stunning skyline views, One Montague Place will redefine luxury residential living in the heart of Brooklyn, and we are honored to break ground on this this game-changing project in conjunction with Landau Properties.” —Eric Reid, COO, AECOM Tishman
“Breaking ground on One Montague Place marks an important milestone. From the outset, our ambition was to bring together an extraordinary constellation of partners to create something truly singular—where architecture, design, hospitality, wellness, and culture come together in a way Brooklyn has never seen before,” said Jonathan Landau, Founder and CEO of Landau Properties.
One Montague Place's groundbreaking occurred in early July, shortly before the World Cup's knockout bracket, and completion is estimated for 2029. However, the following buildings in northern Brooklyn are open for immediate occupancy, and offer indoor and outdoor common areas for watching the finals, enhanced by comfortable seating and views of the iconic Manhattan skyline.

Front & York spans a full city block in DUMBO. The low-rise height, custom Glen-Gery brick facade, and oversized divided-light windows pay tribute to the neighborhood's industrial history. Upper-level residences enjoy views of the Manhattan Bridge, the East River, and the most iconic skyline in the world. Select apartments have private terraces.
The condos start on top of a massive Life Time gym, where Front & York residents enjoy complimentary memberships, and ground-floor retail space. Interiors feature abundant natural light through factory-style windows, hand-laid chevron pattern flooring, kitchens with Gaggenau appliances and Caldia marble countertops and backsplashes, and primary baths with Bianco Bello marble stone tile walls and radiant heated floors.
The eighth floor of Front & York is dedicated to two wings of wellness and social amenities. These include game rooms for adults, teens, and children, an acoustically engineered music room, a coworking lounge, a party room with open kitchen, a wine tasting room, a dining room, a billiards lounge, and a coffee lounge.
As impressive as this is, Front & York's amenity offerings are not limited to the indoors. A nearly half-acre private park by Michael van Valkenbergh Associates, the landscape architects behind Brooklyn Bridge Park, is at the center of the development. And on the eighth floor, covered outdoor spaces with seating and big-screen TVs, most notably an outdoor theater, offer options to take the watch party outside if the weather permits.

While petite by supertall standards, Olympia is the tallest building in Brooklyn at 270 feet high, and its sail-shaped silhouette immediately sets it apart in the Brooklyn skyline. A penthouse in the building served as the home of Denzel Washington's character in Highest 2 Lowest, a thriller directed by Spike Lee; off-screen, it sold for $16.25 million, or $3,297 per square foot, in the highest price per square foot ever for a Brooklyn sponsor condo in February 2026.
In addition to apartments with interiors by Workstead and views of the Manhattan skyline, Olympia is home to 38,000 square feet of residential amenities spread across three floors. The Club offers a lounge with a big-screen TV, a billiards table, and bar. Several stories up, the Bridge is home to indoor and outdoor wellness amenities enhanced by views of the nearby Brooklyn Bridge.

Brooklyn Point was previously the tallest building in the borough, and remains a standout in the Downtown Brooklyn skyline. The apartments start on top of City Point retail and dining, which includes a Trader Joe's supermarket and Dekalb Market Hall, a food hall with over 40 vendors; as such, they enjoy panoramic views from floor-to-ceiling windows as well as interiors by Katherine Newman Design, kitchens with custom millwork and Miele appliances, and spa-like primary baths. The building also offers a 25-year tax abatement.
There is no shortage of space to watch the World Cup finals, or any exciting televised event at Brooklyn Point. The most hard-core fans can gather in the screening room, where they can watch in high-definition with zero distractions. A triple-height Park Lounge offers big-screen TVs, a bar, and outdoor terrace access, and the Game Room offers televisions, custom games tables, and terrace access. Finally, while the rooftop terrace attracted attention for having the highest infinity pool in the Western Hemisphere, it also includes a dedicated outdoor screening area.

One Domino Square is located on the parcel of the former Domino Sugar Factory refinery site closest to the Williamsburg Bridge. This simple geography, not to mention its soaring height and oversized sound-cancelling windows, allows for stunning views of the bridge, the East River, and the Manhattan skyline. The design by Selldorf Architects stuns with its porcelain facade, and interiors are equally dazzling with 10' ceilings, open-concept layouts, Italian kitchens with Gaggenau appliances, and spa-like primary baths.
Amenities at One Domino Square span over 45,000 square feet across five floors, and nearly all of them are enhanced by East River views. They include a Club Level with a media lounge, a game room with billiards and Ping-Pong tables, and a party room.

The waterfront Williamsburg Wharf complex represents prolific developer Naftali Group's first foray into Brooklyn, and is off to a strong start: One Williamsburg Wharf, home of the complex's first condos, was 6sqft's 2024 Building of the Year, and, more recently, is over 70 percent sold. Interiors are filled with natural light from nearly floor-to-ceiling windows and feature kitchens with honed Calacatta quartz countertops and Miele appliances and primary suites with generous closet space and baths with radiant heated floors. Select units have eat-in kitchen islands and/or private terraces.
One Williamsburg Wharf offers an array of exclusive resort-style amenities that include a lounge, a dining room, and a ninth-floor terrace with fire pit. They also have access to the Williamsburg Wharf Resort and Recreation Club, which offers a game room with big-screen TVs, a screening room, and a rooftop terrace with an outdoor pool that becomes an ice skating rink in winter.
