BK Developers Inc. has published a set of new renderings on their website of a new mixed-use residential building coming to 11-12 44th Drive in Long Island City. The building will rise a modest 7 stories, 80 feet tall. It's street-facing facade featuring an irregular interplay of large, floor-to-ceiling windows, crowned by symmetrically-place setbacks on top. The building's rear will feature neat rows of balconies and large common patio deck spanning the rear yard.
Rybak Development and Construction purchased the site from Alice Welsh Corp. for $14 million and filed plans in August to build the new 49-unit building. Permits indicate 4,100 square feet of planned commercial space and 45,871 square feet of residential space. Completion for the project is projected for 2018.
