An elegant and soaring silhouette will be added to the downtown Manhattan skyline in the coming years, and at its base will be a gracious new plaza open to the public. Named 111 Murray Street, the 64-story condominium is being designed by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates with Goldstein, Hill & West as executive architects. The tower will be distinguished by its curvaceous glass exterior that culminates in a graceful, distinctive crown. Fisher Brothers joined forces with the Witkoff Group and Howard Labor in 2013 to purchase the site at 111 Murray Street for $223 million, which was previously a 1983 mid-rise built for The College of Insurance. The tower is expecting completion in 2018.
The tower stands nearby the World Trade Center and is on its way to becoming a staple in the Manhattan skyline.

The more than 20,000 square feet of amenities and public spaces are designed by the acclaimed Rockwell Group with Edmund Hollander Design (EH) as the landscape architects. EH handled the design of the building’s 10,600 plaza which is positioned mid-block to the east of the tower. The space will have a water wall feature, lush foliage, 362 linear feet of seating, lounging areas, and play areas. By way of gently sloping ramps, the plaza will transition visitors from the buzz of the city into a serene oasis. The plaza ramps would also connect the tower lobby and a 60-foot-high building retail building along the far east end of the site, fronting Murray Street.

The rear of the building, along the wall of the Whole Foods-containing 101 Warren Street would feature a private landscaped terrace replete with lounge chairs and tables. The outdoor space would provide seamless access to common amenity spaces inside.
