Addressed at 253 East 62nd Street/1177 Second Avenue, the narrow, 1,800 square foot lot will sprout a 10-story, 21,000 square foot apartment building developed by John Pappas' 253 East 62nd Street LLC. Alexander Zhitnik's Z Architecture is listed as the architect of record on permits that were initially filed in 2013 but were only fully approved recently. According to the submitted floor schedule, there will be six residential units, the first floor would hold a commercial space and a residential lobby that would be accessible from 62nd Street. Floors 2-4 would each hold full-floor two bedroom apartments, and the six levels above would hold three grand duplex units.
