Construction is drawing to a close at The Clare at 301 East 61st Street. As Curbed first reported, Corcoran's Shemesh Team debuted a registration site and is getting ready to begin sales. The 19-story building rises 210 feet tall from a corner lot at East 61st Street and Second Avenue that once held a row of stately walk-up buildings. Manuel Glas is the architect and Third Palm Capital LLC in collaboration with Real Estate Inverlad Development LLC are the developers.
The Clare will ultimately host 30 apartments, ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. Pricing is expected to start at $800,000 for studios and just over $4 million for three-bedrooms. Most floors will contain no more than two units and many of the apartments will be duplexes. Interiors will feature operable floor-to-ceiling glass windows, double-height spaces and open layouts bathed with sunlight. The teaser site proclaims The Clare as “an entirely new way to live, with glorious light at every turn.”
