Woods Bagot's 33-Floor Downtown Brooklyn Tower Rises Out of the Ground

Construction is moving apace on Woods Bagot's first ground-up New York City project, tentatively known as the Jay Street Residences. Excavation and foundation pouring began last year, and now the forthcoming 33-floor high-rise has erected a red tower crane and is now several stories above street level. Sited at the edge of Downtown Brooklyn, near DUMBO and its Manhattan Bridge approach, the project is set to be a 425-foot tall mixed use rental building with 288 residential units, an eight-story hotel and amenity wing and 15,000 square feet of commercial retail and community facilities..
Residents and guests will be offered a variety of amenities that include 112 parking spaces, a rooftop terrace, fitness center, recreation room, resident lounge, bike storage and a laundry room. The developer of the 355,000 square foot project is Amtrust Realty Corporation and is slated for completion in late 2017.
