Three Ten is a very handsome, 31-story condominium apartment tower at 310 East 53rd Street on the southeast corner at Second Avenue.

It was built in 2007 by Macklowe Properties.

The 5-story, finely-detailed, limestone-clad base of the building has some duplex apartments with very tall ceilings and wood-burning fireplaces.

The building, which has 88 apartments, was designed by SLCE architects and Moed de Armas & Shannon Architects.

Bottom Line

A stunning glass-clad, setback tower in Midtown East rises over a limestone base with asymmetrically placed and very handsome and large windows in spectacular duplex units.

Description

The building’s setback tower is stunningly clad in blue-glass and has glass-railed corner wrap balconies at its corners.

The base has asymmetrically placed, multi-paned windows that are large and very impressive.

The building has a three-step-up courtyard garden.

Amenities

The building has a 24-hour concierge and doorman service, a gym, a laundry, a roof deck and a garage.

The building offers three kinds of residences: “mansions,” which are located in the base and are 40-foot-high duplexes with wood-burning fireplaces, three bedrooms, a library, four baths; duplex studios, which are also located in the base, and have 20-foot-high ceilings; and tower residences, two- and three-bedroom units with balconies.  There is also a triplex penthouse.

Apartment 16A is a two-bedroom unit that has a 13-foot-long entry foyer that leads to a 19-foot-long living room adjacent to a 14-foot-long dining room space that has a 11-foot-long terrace.  The unit also has a 16-foot-long enclosed kitchen.
