Jacobs and developed by the Donald Zucker organization, it combines a red brick façade, white accents, setback terraces, and a bamboo lobby into a Georgian style pre-war ambiance.
The building’s apartments range from studios to two bedrooms and have 9 foot ceilings, individually controlled air conditioning, and large floor-to-ceiling windows. Kitchens generally have stainless steel appliances, granite island counters, and wood cabinetry, while the layouts also include substantial closet space and, in some apartments, private terraces. The penthouses add wood-burning fireplaces, giving the residential program one of its more distinctive features.
Two landscaped roof decks open to river views, and the building has a fitness center, laundry facilities, an attended full service garage, concierge service, video intercom, virtual doorman, and a live-in superintendent. In Midtown West, Chelsea Place is east of Hudson Yards and west of Herald Square, with Times Square, the Broadway theater district, Ninth Avenue restaurants, and the shopping and cultural attractions around Hudson Yards and 23rd Street nearby.
