The Crescendo is a six story, 130 unit rental complex at 25 Bruckner Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue in Mott Haven, completed in 2017 by Carnegie Management. Its two buildings, The Staccato and The Legato, take their names from the surrounding area’s history as the Piano District, once home to numerous piano manufacturers.
Karl Fischer and Studio C designed the complex around a landscaped courtyard with a large, skylit, one story amenity pavilion. The longer Bruckner Boulevard wing has a dark gray base, lighter upper floors, multipaned windows, and rows of balconies.
The building has an indoor swimming pool with a hot tub, a fitness center, sauna, steam room, sports court, game room, rooftop terrace, and garden. Quiet lounges and laundry rooms are located on each floor, while an attended lobby, bike room, and on-site parking round out the shared facilities.
Apartments commonly have floor-to-ceiling windows, open kitchens, wood floors, and substantial built in storage. Several one bedroom layouts incorporate mezzanines, and the building’s broader mix includes loftlike studios, corner homes with multiple balconies, and a one bedroom duplex with a private balcony and Manhattan facing rooftop.
