This attractive, 20-story apartment building at 591 Third Avenue on the northwest corner of 39th Street is part of the Frontier complex that also includes the 19-story, mid-block apartment building at 200 East 39th Street, which has 91 apartments which 20 are "affordable." 

It was erected in 2017 and the mid-block building was built in 2015.  

The developer of both buildings are CBSK Ironstate, which consists of Charles Blaichman, SK Developers and Ironstate. 

Both buildings were designed by Rawlings Architects and have ground-floor retail spaces and a second-floor amenity space. 

This building is known as the Lindley and has 74 condominium apartments of which 11 are "affordable." 

The mid-block building has a long entrance marquee. 

The complex replaced a three-story townhouse owned by the Kingdom of Lesotho, which now has a three-story commercial unit in the complex as its mission.

Bottom Line

An attractive, gray two-building complex in Murray Hill in 2015 and 2017 that is not far from Grand Central Terminal and the United Nations.

Description

This building sets back at its 15th story and there are balconies on its top three floors. 

Its façade is tan brick and multi-pane windows. 

Amenities

The building has a 24-hour doorman, a landscaped roof deck with grilling areas, a fitness center, a bicycle room, storage, a live-in superintendent and a residents' lounge.

Apartments

Kitchens have white-frosted glass cabinets with Carrera quartz countertops and backsplashes, a Sub Zero refrigerator and Wolf appliances including a wine refrigerator. 

Apartment 20A is a two-bedroom unit with 1,302 square feet, an 7-foot-long entry foyer that leads to a 21-foot-long living/dining room with an open kitchen with an island. 

Apartment 19A is a two-bedroom unit with a 7-foot-long entry foyer that opens into the 27-foot-long living/dining room with an open kitchen with an island and a 12-foot-wide terrace. 

Apartment 20B is a two-bedroom unit with 1,151 square feet, a 10-foot-long entry foyer that leads to 20-foot-long living/dining room with an open kitchen with a breakfast bar. 

Apartment 16C is a one-bedroom unit with 881 square feet, an 8-foot-long entry foyer that leads to an 18-foot-long living/dining room with an open kitchen with a breakfast bar. 

Apartment 15D is a studio unit with a 5-foot-long entry foyer that leads past an open, corner kitchen to a 17-foot-long living room with a corner window.
