Description

This massive 2,910 square foot home on Fifth Avenue with direct Central Park Views features over 2 million spent on renovations and a Separate bonus room with full bathroom down the hall! The apartment was demolished and rebuilt with over 2 million spent on renovations. The living room, sitting room, office and primary bedroom all have direct views of Central Park. The professional chef’s kitchen features granite countertops, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, a six-burner gas stove top, a separate wok burner, 3 built in ovens (electric), two food disposers, a warming drawer, a built-in espresso maker, a microwave, a separate Subzero refrigerator, separate Subzero freezer, and full-size Subzero wine storer.

The appliances are Subzero, Wolf, Miele, and Viking. The range hood was custom made and ordered. It is built into the kitchen ceiling over the stove top burners and is exhausted to the outdoors. It also has a separate breakfast room. This is one of the best kitchens in NYC!

All the apartments built in cabinets were made and installed by a world class cabinet maker: Frank Klausz. The built-in cabinets throughout the apartment (including the bathrooms) are made of mahogany, except the armoire and side cabinets in the primary bedroom, these were made of pear wood. The wood flooring throughout the apartment is Babinga. This was ordered and installed by Peiser Floors. The entryway and dining area floor are marble.

The stone entry wall is antique Jerusalem stone. Each stone is individually anchored from behind with wrought iron. The stone was ordered from an antique stone collector. New double pane windows were installed throughout the apartment by Skyline Windows.

All the windows in the apartment except those in the kitchen tilt. All the windows in the apartment can be opened to be washed. The primary bathroom wall next to the jacuzzi tub is made of stone. The shower is separate and has three shower heads and a steam shower.

There are 3 layers of glass (regular, frosted and crackle). The toilet is by Toto. There are 2 sinks. The towel rack in the shower area is an electric heated shower rack. There is a plethora of closet space throughout the home. The guest bathroom has a marble floor with chiseled Thassos marble walls.

The sink is frosted glass which sits on a black marble counter. The shower is all marble. The bathroom attached to the guest bedroom has a mosaic tile wall. The tub is a jacuzzi tub with a shower. The glass operating as a shower curtain recesses into the wall and has a built-in drain. In the dining area there is a wall of custom-made glass over the built-in cabinets.

The chandelier was custom made by Modulightor. A smart glass wall separates the living room and the den/bedroom. The glass becomes opaque with the push of a button. The apartment has three independent zones of central air conditioning.

These operate in the kitchen, the primary bedroom, and the living room. The diffusors have been custom constructed and blend in with the decor. These are adjustable. The lighting is extensive.

Each circuit has its own magnetic transformer. This apartment is truly one of a kind! 860 Fifth Avenue is a full-service co-op with full time staff, 24-hour doorperson, elevator attendants, gym, bike room and storage. This is a garage that is accessed from the lobby with discounted rates for shareholders.

50% financing, Pets and pied-à-terre are permitted with board approval. Steps away from central park as well as some of the best restaurants in all of Manhattan. * There is a monthly assessment of $1,144.93
