The Manhasset, one of the premier examples of Beaux-Arts architecture in New York City, encompasses the entire western front of Broadway from 108th Street to 109th Street.There are two distinct entrances and addresses: 301 West 108th Street and 300 West 109th Street,although they are all the same Cooperative, formed in 1993.This landmark was built in phases. The first 8 floors designed by Joseph Wolf were built between 1898 and 1901. The 9th, 10th and 11th floors, designed by Janes and Leo, were built from 1901-1904.There are 124 residential apartments plus a unit for the Superintendent. Amenities include a laundry room and two bike rooms.The store fronts on street level along Broadway are a separate commercial unit. In Morningside Heights one block from the 1 train.
