between Spring Street & Dominick Street View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 145 Sixth Avenue by Carter Horsley

This 8-story building was erected in 1910 at 145 Avenue of the Americas in SoHo.  It has 24 luxury condominium apartments.

It was renovated in 2016 by Peter Moore and Sumaida & Kurana with Harry Meltzer as the architect.

The building, which is also known as 3-7 Dominick Street, overlooks SoHo Square Park and is convenient to several subways.

It has some retail space including the gift shop for the Dahesh Museum.

Bottom Line

Behind its robust but relatively plain façades lurk some large and luxurious condominium apartments.

Description

The building has a one-story, rusticated limestone base.  The large windows on the first and fourth floors are arched and there are bandcourses above the first and fourth floors.  The windows on the 2nd through the 4th floors are indented and have broad spandrels with three indented rectangles.

The building has a canopied entrance and discrete air-conditioners.

Amenities

The building has a full-time doorman and pets are allowed.
