Carter Horsley's Building Review
"Being hailed a new architectural landmark, plans for this bold, six-story structure of jutting steel, cast iron and glass received unanimous approval from the hard-to-please Landmarks Preservation Commission for its harmonious integration of historic building elements and contemporary aesthetics. Built in 2004, the 9-unit condominium boasts loft-like residences that range from 1,400 to 1,900 square feet topped by a 2,300 square foot penthouse. Prices range from $975,000 to $3 million. As of January 2005, more than 60 percent of the units were reported sold or under contract.

Each of the residences boasts 12-foot ceilings, walls of windows and private balconies. Floors are finished in wide strip oak planking and outfitted with radiant heating. Kitchens have Brazilian granite counters, custom Wenge Wood cabinetry and come equipped with best-in-class stainless steel appliances by such leading manufacturers as Sub-Zero, Viking and Miele. Bathrooms are particularly sumptuous with marble tiling, Zuma soaking tubs and oversized glass steam showers." Read Carter's Full Review
