RFR Holdings and Vanke, developers of One Hundred East Fifty Third Street have recently announced the official first look into model residences at the Foster + Partners-designed 63-story tower in Midtown East. The distinctive luxury building will house 94 residences throughout (a maximum of two per floor) and a casual and fine dining restaurant on the first two levels led by culinary legend Joel Robuchon, the most decorated chef in the world. The model units showcased encompass an entire floor and are a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath residence and an alcove loft studio. Interiors, including amenity and lobby spaces, were designed by William T. Georgis, a celebrated NY-based architect featured in this year's Architectural Digest AD100.

The modern interiors feature flush oak interior doors with concealed hinges, ceiling up to nearly 11 feet with integrated reveals for custom lighting, and concealed linear diffusers. Georgis employed details such as zigzagging bedside lamps which tie into the facade's faceted east and west sides - a sharp contrast to the razor-sharp geometry of RFR's Seagram Building located next door. The neighboring landmark office tower also influenced some of the interiors of 100 East 53rd which can be seen through a color palette of bronzes. Kitchens, for example, feature bronze detailing along with wire brushed oak cabinetry, honed Italian Carrara marble countertops, and integrated Gaggenau appliances and master bathrooms include water closet enclosures with bronze pulls.

Building amenities include a 60-foot sunlit swimming pool, a wellness center, spa, yoga and pilates rooms, library and resident lounges. 100 East 53rd Street's restaurant, along with other restaurants soon to open at the Seagram Building and the food court at 159 East 53rd Street, might just make Midtown Manhattan a desirable place to eat and live, rather than just work. And hey, it would be pretty sweet to have Cindy Crawford and George Clooney as neighbors.

Right now, 100 East 53rd Street has ten listings for sale with prices starting at $2.25M for a studio, $2.635M for a one-bedroom, $4.5M for a two-bedroom, and $13.25M for a three-bedroom. The priciest listing is a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom penthouse residence going for a whopping $65M. The building will open to residents later this year.
