Overview of 200 East 79th Street

200 East 79th Street is a 19-story limestone clad condominium completed in 2014 on the southeast corner of Third Avenue. Developed by Skyline Developers, led by Orin S. Wilf, and designed by Cetra/Ruddy, the building contains 39 residences that blend traditional Upper East Side architecture with modern sensibility. The façade features bronze and aluminum accents, while the lobby showcases Sapele wood paneled walls and marble flooring. The building replaced five low rise apartment buildings and sits near Lenox Hill Hospital with convenient access to public transportation, restaurants, and boutiques.

Apartments range from three to five bedrooms, with layouts typically featuring entrance galleries, formal dining rooms, and eat in kitchens. Common finishes include Siematic stainless steel and white wood cabinetry, Bertazzoni dual fuel ranges, white marble or Calacatta marble countertops, Sub Zero refrigerators, Miele dishwashers, and LeFroy Brooks fixtures throughout bathrooms. Most units have oak wood floors, en suite bathrooms, in unit washer/dryers, and oversized windows providing multiple exposures. Several apartments feature corner windows, balconies, or terraces, with some units offering curved corner windows.

The 5,000 square foot penthouse on the 20th floor, designed by Stephen Gambrel, occupies the entire floor with 11-foot ceilings, five bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms, and a 200 square foot terrace offering direct Central Park views. The residence includes a living room with gas fireplace, formal dining room seating sixteen, library, den, and a gourmet kitchen with two islands and top of the line appliances. Another notable unit on the 18th floor was designed by Vicente Wolf, featuring three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a terrace with sweeping city views.

The full-service building offers a 24-hour doorman, concierge, porter, and live in resident manager. Amenities include a fitness center with Peloton bikes, a gymnasium with an adjustable basketball hoop and ping pong table, a residents' library and lounge, and a landscaped roof terrace with pergola. The pet friendly condominium provides storage units and maintains a white glove service standard for its residents.
