The red-brick slab apartment tower at 792 Columbus Avenue is the northernmost of three 16-story Park West Village buildings along Columbus Avenue between 97th and 100th Streets. Park West Village, built in 1960 and designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, was a controversial urban renewal project that took over a decade to complete due to development scandals.
