This stunning mid-block, 18-story apartment tower at 210 West 77th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side is extremely handsome.

The 25-unit condominium building combines thin gray bricks with mahogany window frames, cast-iron Juliet balconies and bronze spandrels to create a very elegant filigree look.

Thomas Juul-Hansen is the architect and The Naftali Group is the developer.

Bottom Line

A very refined and elegant mid-block apartment building with rather exquisite design touches such as concentric rectangular motifs at the entrance and in the lobby and delicate Juliet balconies and large mahogany window frames.  Some units in this centrally location Upper West Side building have fireplaces.

Description

The building’s façade is asymmetrical framed piers.  There are two piers of windows rising to a setback at the 13th floor on the east side and one pier rising to a  14th floor  setback in the middle next to a pier rising to a 15th floor setback that also is next to a wider pier rising to a 16th floor setback.

The building has a large bronze entrance marquee with sidewalk landscaping.  The bronze concentric bronze and glass entrance doors are flanked by slightly receding concentric rectangular bronze panel that are repeated in the lobby which also has a deeply recessed bronze coffered
