The Potter Building is an 11-story, 41-unit cooperative completed in 1886 and designated a New York City landmark in 1996. It was the first fireproof building in Manhattan, reinforced with 4-foot-thick foundation walls and 18.5" thick interior walls. The Beaux Arts terra cotta and brick building enjoys new hallways, lobby, and elevators, not to mention a laundry room, storage, and a magnificent landscaped roof deck. Its Financial District address at 145 Nassau Street puts it close to City Hall Park, the Oculus, fine dining, and major transportation hubs. Pets are welcome, and subletting is subject to board approval.
