44 Kent Street is a five story rental building completed in 2017 directly across from Transmitter Park on the Greenpoint waterfront. Developed by Loketch Group and designed by ND Architecture, led by Nataliya Donskoy, the building combines cream colored stucco, brick, and Corten steel. The façade uses broad horizontal bands, corner windows, balconies, and pronounced vertical breaks, with one central section angled outward. It contains 42 rental apartments.
Many apartments have high ceilings, large or floor to ceiling windows, hardwood floors, and central air conditioning. Kitchens commonly have open layouts, stainless steel appliances, dishwashers, gas ranges, and substantial storage, while bathrooms feature soaking tubs and contemporary finishes. Private balconies and terraces are part of the residential mix.
The building has a rooftop terrace with skyline and East River views, a fitness center, business center, lounge and conference space, laundry room, on site parking, bike room, recreational space, virtual doorman, security cameras, and a live in superintendent. The Greenpoint Avenue station, served by the G train, is about two blocks away, and the East River Ferry is several blocks from the building; the waterfront pier and Brooklyn Barge are also close by.
