Journal Squared is a 53 story, 528 unit rental tower completed in 2020 at 615 Pavonia Avenue in Jersey City. The first building in a three tower development, it was designed by HWKN, with Handel Architects as architect of record, for Kushner Real Estate Development and National Real Estate Advisors.
The tower has a slender, white metal paneled façade organized as a grid of inset windows, recalling the proportions and regular geometry of 432 Park Avenue. Asymmetrical setbacks shape its lower half, while a recessed blue glass pier rises from the base in diminishing widths. Apartments begin on the ninth floor, and taller levels at the base and crown subtly vary the otherwise regular elevation.
Christopher Stevens designed the interiors, including the two story lobby and Club JSQ. Apartments have in-unit washers and dryers, and the elevated residential floors open broad views in several directions. The amenity program includes a swimming pool, fitness and yoga center, rooftop terrace, residents lounge, library and billiards room.
The building also has a 24 hour concierge, full time doorman, party room, children’s playroom and bike room. An entrance marquee and through block arcade connect the tower to the larger development and its public plaza. The Journal Square PATH station is next door, with Newark to World Trade Center and Journal Square to 33rd Street service, including the route via Hoboken.

In July 2025, Italian specialty shop Cangiano's Marketplace opened a new outpost in Jersey City rental development Journal Squared. The store offers prepared foods, fresh sandwiches, and specialty products. It joins a retail lineup in the building that includes Food Story Natural Market, farm-to-table restaurant Whealth Kitchen, and The Cafe at Journal Squared.
